Public Note for CCDS 18444.2
The coding region has been updated to extend the N-terminus due to the presence of an upstream in-frame AUG. The update changes the protein length from 559 aa to 569 aa, but the splice sites are unaffected. The extension would be specific to mouse and rat. The uAUG has a moderately weak Kozak signal, which means that the more conserved downstream ATG might also be used due to leaky scanning.
