Public Note for CCDS 9255.1
The coding region has been updated to represent to extend the 5' and 3' ends supported by the available transcript, paralog protein and conservation data. The update includes additional protein domains and it can be constructed by tiling human mRNAs and ESTs. There is currently no full-length mRNA to support the update. The translation initiation start site of the update has a strong Kozak sequence and it appears to be primate-specific. There are also more upstream in-frame AUG codons that show conservation among more mammmals and which could extend the encoded protein by a further 61 aa at the N-terminus . However, there is currently no transcript or protein evidence to support that extension.
