C78 family peptidase is a cysteine peptidase similar to human Ufm1-specific protease 2 (UFSP2) which cleaves the peptide bond at the C-terminal Gly of ubiquitin-fold modifier-1 protein and to human zinc finger-containing ubiquitin peptidase 1 (ZUP1, also known as ZUFSP) which cleaves 'Lys-63'-linked long polyubiquitin chains
