RYR-2 is required for cellular calcium ion homeostasis. it plays an essential role in embryonic heart development. RYR-2 forms homotetramer and also forms heterotetramers with RYR-1 and RYR-3. RanBP9 (also known as RanBPM), a binding partner of Ran, is a small Ras-like GTPase that exerts multiple functions via interactions with various proteins.
