More...Impaired vascular remodeling is major reason for placental dysplasia. Several studies showed that gestational arsenic (As) exposure causes placental dysplasia. This study aimed to explore the influence of gestational As exposure on placental angiogenesis. Human trophoblasts were used to establish an in vitro model. As exposure weakens tube formation ability in human trophoblasts. RNA-sequencing identified platelet-derived growth factor b (Pdgfb) as a critical regulator. Collectively, gestational As exposure impairs placental angiogenesis through altering Pdgfb expression.
