Genome Information for Thylacinus cynocephalus
The extinct Tasmanian tiger or thylacine was a large, carnivorous Australian marsupial whose resemblance to eutherian canines is one of the most striking examples of convergent evolution in mammals. We have sequenced the genome of an ethanol-preserved thylacine pouch young specimen.
