Tadarida brasiliensis, commonly known as the Mexican free-tailed bat or the Brazilian free-tailed bat, is a medium-sized New World insectivorous bat. Belonging to the family Molossidae, Tadarida is one of 18 genera that comprise the 4th largest family in Chiroptera.
