In the past we have sequenced a variety of *S. cerevisiae* and *S. paradoxus* yeast strains with both capillary and Illumina sequencing (Nature 2009) and used them for functional variation genetics (Genome Research 2011, PLoS Genetics 2011, Genetics 2013).
More...In the past we have sequenced a variety of *S. cerevisiae* and *S. paradoxus* yeast strains with both capillary and Illumina sequencing (Nature 2009) and used them for functional variation genetics (Genome Research 2011, PLoS Genetics 2011, Genetics 2013). However most chromosomes and in particular subtelomeric regions are still incompletely assembled. Therefore we have applied deep PacBio long-read sequencing to 12 representative strains of *S. cerevisiae* and *S. paradoxus*. The full assemblies and annotations of these 12 strains can be accessed via our dedicated project website: https://yjx1217.github.io/Yeast_PacBio_2016/welcome/
