Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II inhibitor
CaM-KIIN is the inhibitor of Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII). CaMKII plays a central part in long-term potentiation, which underlies some forms of learning and memory. CaM-KIIN is a natural, specific inhibitor of CaMKII. This family is found in eukaryotes.
