Adult Mouse Brain Gene Expression

(Submitter supplied) The current model to explain the organization of the mammalian nervous system is based on studies of anatomy, embryology, and evolution. To further investigate the molecular organization of the adult mammalian brain, we have built a gene expression-based brain map. We measured gene expression patterns for 24 neural tissues covering the mouse central nervous system and found, surprisingly, that the adult brain bears a transcriptional "imprint" consistent with both embryological origins and classic evolutionary relationships. more...

Mouse brain region gene expression (430 2.0 Array)

(Submitter supplied) Gene expression patterns were determined from five brain regions (bed nucleus of the stria terminalis, hippocampus, hypothalamus, periaqueductal gray, and pituitary gland) in six mouse strains (129S6/SvEvTac, A/J, C57BL/6J, C3H/HeJ, DBA/2J, and FVB/NJ). Anopheles gambiae genome-wide gene expression in response to bloodmeal

(Submitter supplied) With their genome sequenced, Anopheles gambiae mosquitoes now serve as a powerful tool for basic research in comparative, evolutionary and developmental biology. The knowledge generated by these studies is expected to reveal molecular targets for novel vector control and pathogen transmission blocking strategies.
