LncrRNA and mRNA expression profiling in human esophageal squamous cancer

(Submitter supplied) LncRNAs are characterized by transcripts more than 200 nucleotides in length with no or limited protein coding potential, emerging as a novel class of vital regulators in recent years. Aberrant lncRNA and mRNA expression has been linked to various human tumors. This study was aimed to identify new aberrant expression lncRNA and mRNA in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and invested the potential functions in this tumor.

TP63-driven super-enhancer-associated LINC01503 promotes the malignancy of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ChIP-Seq)

(Submitter supplied) Background & Aims: Lineage-specific expression of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) has been observed recently. However, the underlying mechanism of such specific transcription regulation is unclear. The aim of this study is to identify squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) lineage-specific lncRNAs and to investigate the mechanisms for their expression and function. Methods: Expression characteristics and functions of four candidate SCC-specific lncRNAs were explored. more...

Expression data from different expressed genes(DEGs) in human esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) EC109 cells transfected with empty lentiviral vector(Lv-NC) or lentiviral vector carrying MEG3(Lv-MEG3)

(Submitter supplied) Maternally expressed gene 3 (MEG3), a member of lncRNAs, has tumor-suppressor properties and is downregulated in the majority of malignancies. MEG3 was found to suppress some sorts of tumors through regulating epithelial mesenchymal transformation, inducing cell cycle arrest, triggering apoptosis and so on. We used microarrays to investigate the possible regulatory mechanism of MEG3 in ESCC cell line.
