Gene expression changes in the midbrain of Microcebus murinus induced by Canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2)

(Submitter supplied) Parkinson disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease primarily associated with impaired movement affecting elderly people. To improve the understanding of the pathogenesis and to develop new therapies, we have developed a non-human primate model of PD using the lemurian Microcebus murinus (Mim). In this study, we tested the potential of canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV-2) as vector for gene transfer in the Mim brain by analyzing the gene expression changes in three regions involved in motor control: striatum, frontal cortex and midbrain. more...

Transcriptomic profiling of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from patients with Parkinson's disease and control subjects

(Submitter supplied) To get insight into systemic molecular events associated with Parkinson's disease (PD), an age-related neurodegenerative disorder, we compared gene expression patterns of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) derived from elderly healhy controls and from PD patients.

Vector-transduced neurons transcriptome profiles

(Submitter supplied) With the goal of specifically dissecting the toxicogenomic signatures of the helper-dependent (HD) human (HAd5) and canine (CAV-2) adenovirus, the VSV-G-pseudotyped SIN HIV-1 (LV) and the Adenoviral-associated vector 2/9 for human neurons (AAV2/9), we transduced a bona fide human neuronal system with HD-HAd5, HD-CAV-2, LV and AAV2/9, we analysed the transcriptional response of more than 47,000 transcripts using gene chips. more...

Adenovirus and lentivirus vector effects on midbrain neuroprogenitor cell cultures: time course

Temporal analysis of differentiated mNPC cultures transduced with three vectors: Helper-dependent (HD) human (HAd) and canine (CAV-2) adenoviruses and VSV-G-pseudotyped self-inactivating HIV-1 vector (LV). Results provide insight into the toxicogenomic profiles of these viral vectors in mNPCs.
