Dickkopf-1 is down-regulated by MYCN and inhibits neuroblastoma cell proliferation

(Submitter supplied) Neuroblastomas are tumors of the developing peripheral sympathetic nervous system, which originates from the neural crest. Twenty percent of neuroblastomas show amplification of the MYCN oncogene, which correlates with poor prognosis. The MYCN transcription factor can activate and repress gene expression. Comprehensive Homozygous Deletion Mapping of Myeloma Defines a Poor Prognosis Cell Death Gene Expression Signature

(Submitter supplied) Myeloma is a clonal malignancy of plasma cells. Poor prognosis risk is currently identified by clinical and cytogenetic features. However, these indicators do not capture all prognostic information.
