Genomic DNA from purified virusAfrican swine fever (ASF) is an acute, highly contagious and often fatal disease of domestic pigs. There is no current control measure, other than slaughter of infected pig herds making an outbreak expensive. Recent outbreaks in Georgia and Russia threatens the pig industry in Europe.
