Extraction protocol Total RNA was extracted using RNeasy Plus Mini kit (Qiagen).

Label protocol For each sample, 250ng of total RNA was amplified using the Affymetrix GeneChip WT PLUS Reagent Kit according to the protocol described in User Manual Target Preparation for GeneChip Whole Transcript (WT) Expression Arrays (P/N 703174 Rev. 2)
 
Hybridization protocol An Affymetrix Human Gene 2.1 ST 96-array plate was hybridized with 3μg of fragmented and labeled ss cDNA, washed, stained, and scanned according to the protocol described in the User Manual GeneTitan®Instrument User Guide for Expression Array Plates (P/N 702933 Rev.1) and Affymetrix® GeneChip® Command Console™ User’s Guide (P/N 702569 Rev.9) using the Affymetrix GeneTitan instrument
Scan protocol Array plates were scanned using Affymetrix GeneTitan, AGCC 4.2.0
Description gene expression data from DV90 cells vehicle, DMSO, 4h
Data processing Genedata Refiner Array software was used to process the cel files. Antigenomic background probes were used for background subtraction before quantile normalization. RMA algorithm was used to aggregate the probe sets on a meta probe set level. Resulting values were shifted to mean value of 100 and further normalized using LOWESS normalization.
