Data processing In the present study, transcript libraries from Dolang sheep at the developmental stages of prepuberty, puberty, and postpuberty were constructed and assayed by high-throughput RNA-seq.
Clean reads were obtained using the program Trimmomatic v0.32 by removing reads containing adapters, reads containing poly-N, and low-quality raw reads.
Clean reads were then aligned and mapped to the sheep genome using HISAT2.
The matched reads were assembled and gene or transcript expression was calculated using StringTie.
