Definition

Syntelencephaly is a rare malformation that consists of an abnormal midline connection of the cerebral hemispheres in the posterior frontal and parietal regions, with interhemispheric separation of the basal forebrain, anterior frontal lobes, and occipital regions. [from HPO]
