Congenital dyserythropoietic anemia type IIIb (CDAN3B) is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized macrocytic anemia, aberrant giant multinucleated erythroblasts in the bone marrow, and skull defects secondary to severe anemia with ineffective erythropoiesis (summary by Hernandez et al., 2023).
