Summary:
Analysis of hippocampus of aged F344 males fed a thiazolidinedione (TZD) pioglitazone-containing diet. TZDs have benefits in age-related conditions such as type 2 diabetes mellitus and Alzheimer's disease. Results provide insight into PIO's potentially beneficial actions in normal aging.
