SRX9647062: Whole genome sequencing of Ephestia kuehniella: male larvae
1 OXFORD_NANOPORE (PromethION) run: 820,334 spots, 14.7G bases, 12Gb downloads

Design: 1D library produced of appropriately-sized double-stranded DNA fragments generated by random shearing of DNA and ligating adapters onto double-stranded DNA fragments. Adapter dimers were removed using AMPure XP beads.

Study: Genome of the Mediterranean flour moth (Ephestia kuehniella)
show Abstracthide Abstract
The Mediteranean flour moth, Ephestia kuehniella, represents an early model in lepidopteran genetics later also exploited in sex chromosome research. While it used to be a major pest of dried food products, nowadays it is considered a factitious host used as a food source for a broad range of beneficial arthropods used in biological control. Here we generated Oxford Nanopore reads to study sex determination in E. kuehniella.
