SRX19959138: VIP-Seq of spontaneously induced prophages: P_poae_W11_2
1 ILLUMINA (NextSeq 500) run: 132,741 spots, 40.1M bases, 12.2Mb downloads

Design: Sequenced using the VIP-Seq protocol (described in "Activity and diversity of prophages harbored by wheat phyllosphere bacteria). Briefly, supernatants from overnight cultures of clonal bacterial cultures were DNAse-digested, Proteinase K-treated to open virions, and concentrated prior to library building.

show Abstracthide Abstract
150 Erwinia and Pseudomonas genomes isolated from the flag leaf of wheat in Zealand, Denmark. The spontaneously active prophages of 63 of these genomes was experimentally investigated using read mapping, and 120 active prophages were discovered.
