SRX20667453: Vertebrate prey of Eurasian otter
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2500) run: 125,744 spots, 29.5M bases, 10.4Mb downloads

Design: Eurasian otter diet in autumn
Submitted by: Sun Yat-sen University
Study: Eurasian otters prefer to prey on religious released non-native fish on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau
show Abstracthide Abstract
We found that although Tibetan residents released large amounts of exotic fish for decades, released fish were few in local rivers, indicating that they may have not established a viable population. Eurasian otters mainly prey on fish and released fish accounted for ~20% of their diet. Released fish were highly preferred by otters.
Sample: feces of Eurasian otter
