To examine whether strepsirrhine sex chromosomes have undergone less recombination suppression compared to haplorrhines, we selected strepsirrhine species. We sequenced a male and female of each species and mapped the obtained male and female reads to a reference X chromosome. We used a male:female read depth approach to identify the pseudoautosomal boundary (PAB), the limit between recombining and non-recombining regions on the sex chromosomes.
