Therefore the taxonomic position of A. awamori is not clear. Isolates of this species have been reported on mycotoxin producer or plant pathogens. Recently, it is known as the emerging pathogen of aspergillosis. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of A. awamori strain IFM 58123NT.
