(Submitter supplied) Blastocladiomycota, early diverging zoosporic (flagellated) lineages of fungi, are vastly understudied. This phylum includes the genus Coelomomyces which consists of more than eighty fungal species that are obligate parasites of arthropods. Coelomomyces lack a complete asexual life cycle, instead surviving through an obligate heteroecious alternation of generations life cycle. Gene expression during germination in the Chytridiomycete Blastocladiella emersonii

(Submitter supplied) The array consists of cDNA inserts from 3,563 distinct B. emersonii expressed genes obtained through Georg and Gomes (2007) and Ribichich et al. (2005) works. These inserts were PCR amplified with the T7 forward and SP6 reverse primers. The amplified products were purified in Millipore Multiscreen Filtration Plates (MAFB NOB), eluted with Tris-HCl 10 mM, pH 8.0 to a final concentration of 100 to 200 ng/μl and spotted onto Star 7 slides (Amersham Biosciences) using a Generation III Microarray SpotterTM (Amersham Biosciences).
