60bp oligonucleotide probes spaced approximately 60bp apart throughout the genome (42,021 for the genome, additional probes for the three plasmids). Probes were evenly distributed between strands. Probes were synthesised on the glass surface by ink jet printer which deposits phosphoramidites onto the glass (ink-jet in-situ synthesis) followed by coupling and repeat of the cycle. Probes are spotted onto standard 1 by 3 microscope slides with four arrays per slide.
