Description
The 9,322 cDNAs spotted on this microarray were obtained from a normalized and subtracted cDNA library generated from the total RNA of articular cartilage from a 15-month old equine Thoroughbred gelding. In addition, cDNAs from 28 plasmids used within the lab were spotted; 2 plasmids have been submitted to GenBank. Positive control spots include Elongation Factor Tu (EFTu) and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH). Negative control spots are Invitrogen oligos from Arabidopsis thaliana genes CAD1 and GAPC. The original negative control soybean genes chlorophyll ab binding protein (CAB - SPOT_ID: ABbinding) and Rubisco small chain 1 (RBS1 - SPOT_ID: Rubisco) were contaminated prior to spotting with Bos taurus cDNA and thus might show hybridization.
