Title |
Examining gene expression profile from varying preparations of fibrotic lung tissue |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Gene expression of human lung tissue bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), whole tissue biopsy, and digested single cell suspension of lung tissue from control and ILD samples.

Overall design |
Gene expression profiles were captured from various samples derived from human lung tissue explants. Bronchoalveolar lavage, whole tissue biopsy, and a single cell suspension derived from digested lung tissue were prepared and evaluated via RNA-seq. This allowed for evaluation of sample preparation, and retention of singal in digested samples, to ensure that there was not significant loss of signal due to incomplete digestion or bias of preparation protocol.
