Title |
Dietary intake of xylose impacts the transcriptome and proteome of tissues involved in xylose metabolism in swine |
Organism |
Sus scrofa |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
We investigated the transcriptomics and proteomics profiling between different xylose supplementation diets (0% xylose-free vs. 8% xylose (8 g D-xylose/kg)) in swine. We used RNA-seq and proteomics data from kidney, jejunum, liver, and muscle from two replicates of 12 crossbred gilts each to provide 24 animals (12 per dietary 100 treatment; L337 × Camborough, PIC Inc., Hendersonville, TN).

Overall design |
We performed differential gene expression and proteomics analyses between different xylose diets using 24 swine animals (12 control vs. 12 xylose treatment) from 4 tissues (kidney, jejunum, liver, and muscle)
