Mice were decapitated and brains dissected. Tumor was identified by fluorescence under dissecting scope and acutely dissected. Tissue was placed in Trizol and total RNA was purified.

Probe sequences were downloaded from the Agilent website and aligned to a transcript sequence database consisting of 49,040 Mus musculus genes from Ensembl57. After removing probes that did not align, or aligned with more than 5 mismatches (n = 19,194), or probes that aligned to multiple genes (n = 2,283), 23,006 probes representing 17,585 genes remained. Expression profiles were quantile normalized and log transformed
