Genomic DNA was extracted from seven to ten macrodissected FFPE sections (5 μm) using the automated procedure QIAcube and QIAGEN spin columns (Qiagen, Hilden, Germany). For fresh-frozen samples, tissues were processed for gDNA extraction using the Invitrogen ChargeSwitch genomic DNA Mini Tissue.
