Growth protocol Animals were all born in captivity in our breeding colony (CECEMA, University of Montpellier, France). 12 animals were used in this study. All animal experiments were conducted in strict accordance with the European Union Directive (2010/63/EU) for the care and the use of laboratory animals (Animal authorization CE-LR-0502, ethical committee of the Languedoc-Roussillon, France).
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol Extraction of total RNA was performed using Rneasy mini Kit (QIAGEN, Santa Clarina, CA) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Label Biotin
Label protocol Biotinylated cRNA were prepared according to the standard Affymetrix protocol from 6 ug total RNA (Expression Analysis Technical Manual, 2001, Affymetrix).
 
Hybridization protocol Following fragmentation, 1 à 10 ug of cRNA were hybridized for 16 hr at 45C on GeneChip Drosophila Genome Array. GeneChips were washed and stained in the Affymetrix Fluidics Station 400.
Scan protocol GeneChips were scanned using the Agilent Scanner 3000.
Description Gene expression changes induced by CAV-2 in primate midbrain, 28 days after infection
Data processing he data were analyzed with Microarray Suite version 5.0 (MAS 5.0) using Affymetrix default analysis settings and global scaling as normalization method. The trimmed mean target intensity of each array was arbitrarily set to 100.
