Fifteen patients infected with HIV-1 on fully suppressive ART was included in the clinical trial CLEAR. Each patient received 12 doses of 20 mg panobinostat with three doses given every other week for a total of 8 weeks. PBMCs fro gene expression analysis was samlpes at baseline, after 3 doses, 4 weeks after dosing and 6 months after dosing

| Extraction protocol |
Total RNA was extracted from PBMCs lysed in PAX tubes using the protocol provided by the manufacturer. Quality assessment was conducted using a Nanodrop spectrophotometer (Thermo). Total RNA RIN values were between 7,5 and 9.
