Isolation of Poly (A) mRNA from total RNA and construction of cDNA libraries were preformed according to Dong et al. (Dong et al., 2015). Finally, the cDNA libraries were loaded onto the flow cell channels of an Illumina HiSeqTM 4000 platform for paired-end 151 bp x 2 sequencing at the Beijing Genomics Institute (BGI), Shenzhen, China (Zhang et al., 2013). After discarding low-quality raw reads (contain the connectors and discarded the reads whose content had more than 5% unknown bases.), the clean reads from each library were assembled to M. oryzae. Gene expression levels were measured in the RNA-Seq analysis as reads per kb of exon model per million mapped reads (RPKM) (Mortazavi et al., 2008). Differentially expressed genes and their corresponding P-values were determined using the DEG. Fold changes (Log2 Ratio) were estimated according to the normalized gene expression level in each sample. We used the absolute value of Log2Ratio>1, p-values<0.001, q-value<0.001 as the threshold to judge differentially expressed genes.
