Arrays were washed, stained and scanned by GeneChip Scanner 300 7G according to the Affymetrix Expression Analysis technical manual. Affymetrix GCOS 1.4 was used as the image acquisition software. The signal, which represents the intensity of each gene, was extracted from the image. The target intensity value from each chip was scaled to 500.
