The genome of Plasmodium falciparum NF54-DiCre was sequenced using the PacBio platform, assembled and annotated. This strain has a rapamycin-dimerizable Cre recombinase (DiCre) integrated at the Pfs47 locus, making it suitable for inducible, lox-mediated activation/repression of gene expression.
